Ismail ibn Conner is an interdisciplinary performer whose work bridges contemporary French theater, movement, and cross-cultural exchange. His career is rooted in the performance and production of groundbreaking French dramatists and directors: Pascal Rambert (De mes propres mains) and multiple works directed by Arthur Nauzyciel (Jean Genet, Shakespeare, and Bernard-Marie Koltès).Performing across France, Belgium, Spain, Switzerland, South Korea, Greece, Colombia and the U.S.; appearing at major venues like Festival d’Avignon, the Hellenic Festival, and the Ibero-American Theater Festival of Bogotá. A laureate of La Chartreuse and Résidences Internationales aux Récollets.He is the founder of the United States Koltès Project to present American English translations and productions of key works. In addition to his theatrical work, Ismail brings a dynamic physical presence to the stage as a member of Krump dance crew KONWORK (USA), fusing street dance/African dance/theatrical expression.Current productions: In the Solitude of Cotton Fields and Poetic Conversations for the Down To Earth Festival in New York City.
